Jake’s Brave Night: Biblical Values

I Can Read Series – Level 2 – The Jake Series

Jake is excited about having his own bedroom, but when it comes time to go to sleep, he is afraid of the dark and afraid of being alone. Jake tries to conquer his fears by turning on the bedroom light. When that doesn’t work, he takes his animals to bed with him. Then he tries crawling under his bed. When none of these methods work, he crawls back into bed and finally falls asleep. The next morning, when Jake tells his parents what happened, they get him a night light and remind him that God is with him all night long.

What Owners Are Saying About This Book!

  1. Kids Learn to Read and Trust God at the Same Time – This book does an excellent job quelling kids fears while teaching Biblical truths at an age appropriate and phonetic development level. Too often these early reader books add God as an after-thought. This one doesn’t do that. God’s omnipresence is an integral part of the text. And it does this a a completely relevant topic: being afraid of the dark. Nearly every child can relate to the main character

  2. Great Books, Great Morals – My 5 and 7 year old love that they can read on their own. They are so excited to read a whole book by themselves. And I’m happy that they are also picking up solid truths and good moral’s in the process.
